PCA Sabres November Sports Results

Sr. High Volleyball
What an exciting year it has been for our volleyball teams. The month of November was the push to provincials, with both teams ending up at Vulcun and Three Hills for the 2A Provincial Championships. The boys had a strong month leading up to it with placing 2nd at Med Hat tourney and winning Zones. The girls won regionals, finished 2nd at Zones with an epic match in the final. Provincials was a learning experience for the boys as they didn't win any matches but with most of the team returning they will be strong for next year. The girls had a great round robin, going 4-1, won an intense quarter but then lost their semi. They finished 4th but had a great weekend. Congrads to both teams.
Jr. High Volleyball
The month started off with Zone playoffs for the Jr. High's, which the girls and boys team placed first in. Both teams were heading to Zones, for the girls it was November 12-13 and the boys Zones were November 19. The following week of Zone playoffs were league playoffs for both teams. The girls Sabres team again placed first, playing some excellent matches against their league competition. The boys competed at the Three Hills school but didn't have their best day. It was then off to Zones to finish off the season, and the teams did great. The Boys finished 4th and the Girls finished 1st. Hats off to Anne Enns and Patty Brown for all their help, and congrads to the girls on a great season!
Hockey
The men's hockey team has had a good month to start up their year. With their early success they have been placed into the 2nd tier of the league and their record is currently 1-2-1 in league play. Coach Arnold says the team is "learning to deal with adversity and challenges", but we are confident that the team will only grow from this and be stronger for it. Go get em boys!!
