THS hosts ASAA 2A Girls Provincial Volleyball

Three Hills School was host to the ASAA 2A Girls Provincial Volleyball, November 25-27.
Thursday morning, an energy filled gymnasium welcomed the 12 teams to Three Hills for the beginning of a competitive weekend.
After the six scheduled games for the day, the girls put on their best dresses, and made their way to the Bethel Evangelical Church for a banquet.
Day two of competition was a full day of opportunity for the athletes to show their team work and dedication had paid off.
"The matches were really close," comments Michael Vaughan, Assistant Coach for the Three Hills Royals. "It was spectacular volleyball."
By the end of day two, the tournament was heating up, and the girls were one step closer to knowing who would be taking home the gold.
Saturday, November 26 meant the last chance for the volleyball season of 2010, and the teams took advantage of it. After a suspenseful 36 games, the winners were determined.
The gold medal went to the STS Spartans of Okotoks, silver was awarded to the Spirit River Renegades, the Vauxhall Queens took the bronze, and Prairie Christian Academy Sabres, of Three Hills, held fourth place.
The weekend went smoothly, and "the committee of volunteers did a great job of bringing it all together," says Michael Vaughan.
