Neons host Fun Meet
In spite of all the snow that fell on Friday, 22 swimmers made their way to the Three Hills Aquatic Centre on Saturday, January 29 for a Fun Meet. The Olds Rapids and the Sylvan Lake Nauticals had been to Three Hills before, but this was the first time we hosted the Stettler Swim Club. Everyone in attendance had a great time.

Thrashers claim two victories over Flyers
The Three Hills Thrashers claimed two more victories over the weekend, defeating the High River Flyers 6-4 and 4-1 in a home and home series.
Friday night, as the snow flew, the Thrashers travelled to High River and showed no signs of road weariness getting out to a quick lead in the opening minutes. After going undefeated in January, it is not surprising that that PCA's Lady Sabres basketball team maintained their #2 spot in the semester break provincial rankings. Finishing off the first half of the league season with a victory over their cross-town rivals from Three Hills School, the Sabres finished the semester with a 13-1 record.

Smith Rink wins Acme's 14TH Annual Business Bonspiel
The team of Lance Smith, sponsored by APM Weed Control won Acme's 14th annual Business Bonspiel this past weekend (Jan. 24-28, 2011).
The Smith rink consisted of Steve Boake (as 3rd), Lynn Boake (2nd) and Florante Nana (Lead). Receiving second place in the 'A' event was the Jay Davis rink, sponsored by Koch Fuel. His team consisted of Darryl Gorr (3rd), Peter Visser (2nd) and Greg Jochens (Lead).
