Neons attend Mayflower Invitational
The Neons blazed their way through winter weather to attend the Mayflower Invitational, hosted by the Sherwood Park Swim Club on January 8-9, 2011. There was no trace of snow inside the Millennium Place pool, where five Neons raced for ribbons, medals and best times.
Aislinn Morton (8) had the best day, bringing home seven ribbons and a medal. She recorded five best times, shaving a total of 29 seconds off her races, and won six 1st place ribbons in the 50 M Freestyle, 100 M Freestyle, 25 M Bre

PCA'S Lady Sabres #2 ranked continued their march to provincials with an impressive showing during the first half of January. The first Wednesday after the Christmas break, the Sabres hosted a young team from Drumheller in their third league game, and PCA's experience showed right from the start. Substituting freely, Coach Candice Riemersma gave everyone a lot of playing time, and each Sabre scored at least one basket during the game—a lopsided 70-21 victory for the home team.

The Three Hills Thrashers completed an exciting comeback on Friday night to give their hometown fans a thrilling 6-4 victory against the central division leading Cochrane Generals.
The Thrashers came out flat in the opening period and the visiting Generals capitalized.
