Acme Senior Boys Volleyball bring home Provincial Gold

 

"Let's go make school history," said the Acme Senior Boys Volleyball team and that they did, bringing home the Provincial banner from the host community of Taber.

The Three Hills Thrashers extended their winning streak to four games this weekend, scoring an exciting come-from-behind victory over the Okotoks Bisons on Friday night and then dumping their divisional rivals, the Mountain View Colts on Saturday evening.

Acme Senior Boys Volleyball off to Provincials
Acme's Senior Boys returned from the 1A Volleyball Zone Tournament as 2010 Zone Champions.
The eight-team tournament was held in Bassano, with Acme winning 10-0, defeating Standard, Bassano, and Duchess in round-robin play, Olds Koinonia Christian in the semi-final, and Rosemary in the final.
It was in 2007 that the Acme Senior Boys last brought home the banner. During season play this 2010 team defeated Three Hills and Prairie Christian Academy for Divisionals, followed by Regionals and Zone
