The Village of Carbon was the place to be last weekend during their 2026 Carbon Lions Sports Days. The annual three-day mixed slow pitch tournament kicked off Friday and wrapped up Sunday. Saturday featured a community breakfast with garage sales taking place throughout the village. The Carbon AG Society parade started at 11 am, followed by free hot dogs at the Carbon Valley Hotel. The Carbon Lions hosted a roast beef supper, and a cabaret rounded out Saturday at the Carbon Hall.

The Three Hills Gymnastics Club has wrapped up another successful season! Our recreational program finished at the end of March, and our competitive team recently concluded their season at the Alberta Xcel & Compulsory Championships in Medicine Hat. The athletes represented our club with incredible dedication, sportsmanship, and hard work, and they made our club very proud. We would like to recognize some outstanding achievements at the championships within their age categories and levels:

On March 9th, the U18-2 Kneehill Chiefs hockey team won their tier colour banner against the Foothills Flyers. This was a two-game total-point round, and the Chiefs came out victorious! The team will now go on to face the first-place team in each region, which will be Chestermere, Coronation and Bow Island for the League Championship Banner!
