Another page in time has been turned at Capital Printers Ltd. or “The Capital” as many of you know it.
The years have flown by and it became clear that we needed to downsize. That being said, we have sold our Main Street, Three Hills commercial properties.
Monday, February 27, 2023, was the final day that we were open to the public.
Capital Printers Ltd. has had a downtown presence since 1916. Being the oldest, established business in the Town of Three Hills is something to be proud of.
I admit that I don’t accept change as quickly as others. This one has been a bit easier. Technology has allowed us to take this step.

In closing, I would like to stress that we have not sold the newspaper. Just the building.
Capital Printers Ltd. is also not going out of business, as some rumours would have it.
It’s a simple matter of change.
Three Hills RCMP Sergeant Jamie Day has announced that there will be a Three Hills RCMP Youth Academy to be held at the Prairie Christian Academy from July 10 to July 14, 2023. This is a five-day summer academy that will provide selected students with a variety of activities that a police cadet would experience. This would include fitness training, defensive tactics, application of the law, emergency response, police demonstrations and more.
The academy is open to all students (grades 7 through 12) who attend a school in the Three Hills RCMP Detachment area. These include Three Hills School, Prairie Christian Academy, Trochu Valley School, Elnora School and Delburne Centralized School.
Please pick up your application at the Three Hills RCMP Detachment or email kthreehillsadmin@rcmp-grc.ca. Applications must be turned in to the Three Hills RCMP Detachment by 4 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Final selections will be made by Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Selected students will be notified by phone or email.
