Readers may have been watching the Canadian news recently to view Federal and Provincial NDP politicians announcing their displeasure with the amendments minister Marco Medicino attempted to sneak past the SECU committee.

SECU is the committee assembled to develop firearms bills and are also supposed to consult with stakeholders when developing firearms laws.

Firearms owners in Canada require a Purchase Acquisition Licence to own any firearm.

Classifications are attached to the PAL depending on the type of firearms owned. The PAL is required to purchase and own firearms, ammunition, gun powder and some personal protective gear.
