Concerned and puzzled over Trooper

Dear Editor;

I recently took a look at the events for the Three Hills Centennial Weekend Celebration. Looks like a great weekend and a lot of fun. Let's hope for sunny weather. There is however, one event that concerns me and truthfully puzzles me. It is the Trooper concert. In my opinion there has not been a lot of thought or consideration put into this event.

Museums are great teachers

To the Editor;

I learned a lot from the article by Glenn Flewelling, "What Is A Museum?" that appeared in the May 24, 2012 issue of The Capital. First, how very wrong I have been, thinking that interest in history was a waste of time, and that keeping up with the present was enough to keep me busy. But Glenn is right, Museums are great teachers, agreeing with the person who said, "Those who do not learn from history cannot change the future!"

TroVal School Modernization Update

Dear Editor:

The school year is fast approaching and I would like to take one more opportunity to update you and your readers about the happenings at Trochu Valley School.

Staff is busy packing preparing for our move out of the current building. Renovations are well underway in the Curling Rink facility where grades 7 through 12 will be housed for the next two years. Thank you for a job well done

To the Editor;

A few weeks ago during seeding, the main rural water line going past our place ruptured a fitting and water came to the surface and ran down the ditch and across the yard.

We notified Kneehill County and they promptly came out. We had visions of our lane being ripped up and no access to our yard.

The crew was very accommodating and not only stayed in the ditch but hauled in new topsoil and seeded the ditch and delivered a load of gravel to our lane.
